Anu Lingala is an Associate Fashion Trend Forecaster at Nordstrom. She holds an MA in History of Design from the Royal College of Art in London, funded by the Victoria & Albert Museum’s Global Fashion History Scholarship. Her undergraduate studies were completed at Cornell University, where she received a BS with Honors in Apparel Design and Management.
Anu has grown to appreciate the power of fashion as both a visual language and global business through her varied academic and industry-related pursuits. By successfully exploring a diverse array of creative experiences, she has acquired familiarity with processes ranging from design conception to retail strategy. Her interdisciplinary background has instilled a fresh perspective of the complex synergy between different areas of the fashion industry. She is passionate about ideas like trend forecasting and analysis, sustainability and ethics, global cultural exchange, vintage and craft, design thinking, digital media, and brand strategy. Her interests stem from a fascination with the intersection of the historical and contemporary in relation to fashion, and she ultimately aspires to engage with this philosophy through her professional work.
